Nasser Maddi (Owner/Choreographer)

nasser-maddi-1-150-200Nasser began dancing at the age of six and has trained /performed with leading teachers/ choreographers, and music artists ever since. He began his career in Europe with The Grooves Dance Company. There, he taught and performed Salsa, Hip Hop, Control Dance, Ballroom, and Persian Dance. His experience with The Grooves Dance Co. led to numerous opportunities to travel throughout Europe, perform and choreograph on stage and television. His credits include dancing with popular European singing artists, Ann Lee and Belle Perez. He then choreographed and performed for various Persian singing artists in Germany, including Sayeh. Nasser also had several television appearances performing on European musical entertainment shows. Nasser performed in corporate events including grand openings for a Chanel Fragrance launch in France, The Columbus Shoe Company, in Spain and ING Insurance Co. in Germany. He spent three years touring with The Bailando Dance Company performing Salsa in Germany, Holland, and France. With over20 years of experience choreographing, teaching, and performing dance, Nasser brought his passion and love for dance to Irvine, California where he opened up his studio with the desire to provide high quality dance training. He is living his dream and sharing his enthusiasm for dance with his students.

 

Serena Healey (Belly Dance/ Salsa)

Serena has had various dance training throughout the years, including ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, Polynesian, and ballroom. Dancing has always been her passion and pursuit throughout her life . Her love for Middle Eastern dancing began in 2001, when she observed a belly dancer perform at a Greek restaurant. Since then, she has studied with Angelika Nemeth and Lilla Varese in Orange County and is currently a member of their professional performance troupes. Serena’s performance experience includes, appearing on the International Academy of Middle Eastern Dance DVDs in 2005, 2006 and 2007, performing annually at various festivals such as the Cairo Carnival and Market at the Kasbah, and performing weekly at various Middle Eastern restaurants in the Orange County area. She recently returned from Egypt, where she studied and performed at the internationally recognized Ahlan Wa Sahlan Festival.

 

Tracy Quevedo (Hula & Tahitian Kids/Pre Ballet-Tap)

Tracy was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and raised in San Diego. She began her dance training at the age of seven. Her training includes Hula, Tahitian, tap, jazz, ballet, and modern dance. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in both Dance and Psychology from the University of California, Irvine (UCI). After graduating from college, Tracy continued to teach Hula and creative dance with the Young Audiences of San Diego. She currently trains and performs in both national and international Tahitian dance competitions and exhibitions with professional dance company Nonosina Polynesia Inc. In the summer of 2007 Tracy performed in Tahiti for the International Heiva Festival. In 2008 she had the privilege of performing at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood for the 1st Annual Filipino-American Visionary Awards.

 

Norine Brennan Petersen (Hula/Tahitian/Polysian)

Norine grew up in Huntington Beach, California where she graduated from Huntington High School. She is currently attending Orange Coast College where she is furthering her education. She started dancing at the age of 7 years old and hasn’t stopped since. Dancing became her passion and she pursued it diligently. She has been in many competitions throughout her career. Dancing has taken her across the United States, Hawaii and Tahiti. It has enriched her experience in the Polynesian Culture as well as further developed her passion for dance. She enjoys sharing her passion for dance and Polynesian culture with dance students.

 

Michele Bonetti (Jazz/Ballet/Pre Ballet-Tap)

Michele was born in Zurich, Switzerland, and has over ten years of experience dancing and performing ballet, modern, and jazz dance. She received a Teaching Degree in Dance with an emphasis in modern and jazz dance as well as a Degree in Physical Acting from University in Zurich, Switzerland.  Michele has been recognized by dance professionals for her creative and unique choreography. She has over 5 years of experience teaching jazz and modern dance.

 

Lisa M. Bates (Tap)

Lisa was born and raised in New Hampshire. She began dancing at the age of three. Early on she found a love for many genres of dance including ballet, tap, and modern dance. After graduating high school in 2003, she attended Keene State College where she received her Bachelor of Art Degree in theater and dance with minor in management. Throughout her four years at KSC, her passion for modern dance grew as that became her focus. In 2005, she had the incredible opportunity to perform in a piece choreographed by New York City's Robert Battle, of Battle Works. She graduated with a Masters in Fine Art in dance from the University of Irvine (UCI). While attending UCI, she studied under the guidance of dance greats including Donald Mckayle, Loretta Livingston, William Seigh, and Marcia Murdock.
