Nasser Maddi (Owner/Artistic Director)
Nasser began dancing at the age of six and has trained /performed with leading teachers/ choreographers, and music artists ever since. He began his career in Europe with The Grooves Dance Company. There, he taught and performed Jazz, Salsa, Hip Hop, Control Dance, Ballroom, and Persian Dance. His experience with The Grooves Dance Co. led to numerous opportunities to travel throughout Europe, perform and choreograph on stage and television. His credits include dancing with popular European singing artists, Ann Lee and Belle Perez. He then choreographed and performed for various Persian singing artists in Germany, including Sayeh.
Nasser also had several television appearances performing on European musical entertainment shows. Nasser performed in corporate events including grand openings for a Chanel Fragrance launch in France, The Columbus Shoe Company, in Spain and ING Insurance Co. in Germany. He spent three years touring with The Bailando Dance Company performing Salsa in Germany, Holland, and France. With over20 years of experience choreographing, teaching, and performing dance, Nasser brought his passion and love for dance to Irvine, California where he opened up his studio with the desire to provide high quality dance training. He is living his dream and sharing his enthusiasm for dance with his students.
Jenna Lightle (Jazz/Modern/Contemporary/Pre-Tap and Ballet)
Jenna has been dancing Jazz, Ballet, Tap, and Contemporary since she was 4 years old. She has performed in many different competitions in the country and was brought from Iowa to California through dance. she received state and national awards for dance teams in Iowa and as only a high school dancer, she was coaching and coordinating a dance team herself. Teaching dance is a passion and a love of Jenna’s that she is passionate about teaching to others. She is double majoring in Dance and Nursing at Saddleback currently. Making connections with families and the student themselves is a huge part of her teaching. Currently Jenna teaches Pre Ballet/Tap Combo classes, Jazz, and Contemporary specialty.
Marisol Lara (Belly dance/Hula/Tap)
Her dance training began in 2006 at Pro Dance Center with concentration on Hip hop , Hula , Tahitian, Belly dance , Tap and Jazz . She has been a performer and an instructor with Pro dance since 2008 and currently dances in various productions and festival throughout southern California, most regularly Irvine Global Festival and Soka University International Festival. In 2010 she began studying with Angelika Nemeth to further her belly dance training until 2012 when she went to Mendocino Middle Eastern Dance and Music camp for summer of 2012. Her Tap, Jazz, hula and Tahitian training also took place at Orange Coast College until 2012 when she performed with the Performing Dance Ensemble for the World Dance Concert of 2012. She is currently the Advanced Belly dance instructor as well as the Hula and Tahitian Instructor for both children and adults.
Ashley Nettles (Ballet & point):
Ashley is a recent Theatre Arts, Dance & Music graduate from CSU, Los Angeles with a major in dance. She began dancing at the age of 6 at the Landmark Theatre in Richmond, Virginia and since then has harnessed about 18 years of experience as a performer. She has danced as a member of various dance & drill teams throughout elementary, middle, and high school. Upon graduating from high school she began studying with The Hartfel Ballet Company located in Orange County. From there she added technical variety and a firmer modern dance foundation at San Pedro City Ballet located in San Pedro, CA. where she performed as a company member in The Nutcracker, as well as a prequel to a spring performance at the Laguna Museum of Arts. Along with performances and choreographing at CSULA, she most recently performed at The Young Artist Concert in San Francisco, CA. In the fall she will begin her teaching credential in Adapted Physical Education with an emphasis in dance and will also pursue a Masters of Arts degree in dance upon completion of her credential. She lives and breathes by the quote “Live Life Brilliantly”.
Nekoa Utai ( Jazz/Hiphop) Originally from Sunny California, He began his dance training at his first studio in Anaheim California through a well known Tahitian group, Nonosina, at the age of 3. Studying still in his native style, his parents decided he should audition for the Academy of Performing Arts in Huntington Beach at 13. Getting accepted with no training ,besides teaching hip-hop, he was ready to broaden his “Dance Vocabulary.” At 14 he made it in Professional Dance ROP and Company. He started training in Contemporary, Modern, Lyrical, Ballet, and Jazz while being the only Hip-hop dancer in the academy training under Marie Hoffman, Andrea Taylor, And Diane Makus. With numerous other wonderful teachers, he fell in love with the world of dance. Winning many awards and attending countless competitions, he decided to take his work to commercial. He attended season 9 and 10 auditions for the Fox television show SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE both times getting air time. Taking a leap, he decided to take his talents and leadership to the state of Arizona. Now as a member of the Gilbert Arizona Hip Hop crew Leggo Monsters, he wants to spread the wisdom and talent to all that share the same passion and love as him. Always bringing a positive vibe, Nekoa hopes to provide a wonderful learning experience while being a great inspiration and influence to all he comes in contact with. He lives by the fact that “Dance is not a hobby, sport, or job, it is a lifestyle!”
Michele Bonetti (Jazz/Ballet/Pre Ballet-Tap)
Michelewas born in Zurich, Switzerland, and has over ten years of experience dancing and performing ballet, modern, and jazz dance. She received a Teaching Degree in Dance with an emphasis in modern and jazz dance as well as a Degree in Physical Acting from University in Zurich, Switzerland. Michele has been recognized by dance professionals for her creative and unique choreography. She has over 10 years of experience teaching jazz and modern dance.
