Nasser Maddi (Owner/Teacher/Choreographer)
Nasser Maddi began dancing at the age of six and has trained and performed with leading teachers, choreographers, and music artists ever since. He began his career in Europe with The Groovies Dance Company where he taught and performed Salsa, Hip hop, Control Dance, Ballroom, and Persian Dance. His experience with The Groovies led to numerous opportunities to travel Europe and perform and choreograph on stage and television. His credits include dancing with popular European singing artists, Ann Lee and Belle Perez; choreographing and performing for various Persian singing artists in Germany, including Sayeh; and several television appearances performing on European music entertainment shows. Nasser performed in corporate events including grand openings for Chanel in France; a popular shoe company, Columbus, in Spain; and ING Insurance in Germany. He spent Three years touring with Bailando Dance Company performing Salsa in Germany, Holland, and France. With over 20 years of experience choreographing, teaching, and performing dance, Nasser brought his passion and love for dance to Irvine, CA where he opened up his studio with the desire to provide quality dance training and instill his strong enthusiasm for dance to his students.
Tracy Mendoza (Hula & Tahitian/Ballet-Tap Combo)
Tracy was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and raised in San Diego, and began her dance training at the age of seven. Her training includes hula, tahitian, tap, jazz, ballet, and modern. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in both Dance and Psychology from University of California, Irvine. After graduating from college, Tracy continued to teach hula and creative dance with Young Audiences of San Diego. She currently trains and performs in both national and international tahitian dance competitions and exhibitions with professional dance company Nonosina Polynesia Inc. In the summer of 2007 Tracy performed in Tahiti for the International Heiva Festival. In 2008 she had the privilege of performing at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood for the 1st Annual Filipino-American Visionary Awards.
Amanda Burger (Ballet-Tap Combo/Lyrical/Tap)
With 14 years of dance experience, Amanda has participated in countless performances and competitions, including performances at NBA basketball games, cruise ships, and Disneyland. Amanda has trained extensively in contemporary, lyrical, ballet and jazz. At the age of 17 she studied and performed with a professional company training in ballet and jazz. She now enjoys teaching and hopes to continue for many more years.
Amy Nguyen (Ballet/Jazz)
Amy started her dance training at the age of five. She studied ballet and jazz at Yoko's Dance and Performing Arts Academy in Fremont, California. She was part of the studio’s dance competition team and competed for six years at regional and national level, winning many awards. She was also a valued staff member, teaching dance to children and adults since high school. Amy is currently a dance major at University of California, Irvine, where she is receiving further training in ballet, jazz, and modern. She is also an active competitor in International Latin Ballroom and has competed individually and with the formation team of the Latin and Ballroom Dance Association.
Asuka Elizabeth Kondoh (Ballet-Tap Combo/Latin Ballroom)
Born and raised in San Francisco, Asuka Elizabeth Kondoh began dancing at the age of nine. She has acquired an extensive thirteen years background in dance, including ballet, Pointe, jazz, tap, modern and Latin ballroom. She received most of her dance training from the Ming-Hai Wu Academy of Ballet, San Francisco City Ballet School and Crockett-Deane Ballet, the official school of the Sacramento Ballet. She is currently a student at the University of California, Irvine as a dance major. As an avid Latin Ballroom competitor and Director, she has competed in California, Nevada and Ohio individually and with the Latin and Ballroom Dance Team of UCI for the past 3 years.
Michele Bonetti (Turn & Technique/Jazz/ Modern Jazz)
Michele was born in Zurich, Switzerland, and has over ten years of experience dancing and performing ballet, modern, and jazz. She received her Dance Teaching Degree in Modern & Jazz Dance in Zurich, Switzerland, as well as a Degree in Physical Acting. Michele has been recognized by dance professionals for her creative and unique choreography. Michele has over 5 years of experience teaching jazz and modern.
Serena Healey (Belly Dance)
Serena has had various dance training throughout the years, including ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, Polynesian, and ballroom. Dancing has always been her passion and pursuit. Her love for Middle Eastern dancing began in 2001, when she observed a belly dancer perform at a Greek restaurant. Since then, she has studied with Angelika Nemeth and Lilla Varese in Orange County and is currently a member of their professional performance troupes. Serena’s performance experience includes, appearing on the International Academy of Middle Eastern Dance dvds in 2005, 2006 and 2007, performing annually at various festivals such as Cairo Carnivale and Market at the Casbah, and performing weekly at various middle eastern restaurants in the Orange County area. She recently returned from Egypt, where she studied and performed at the internationally recognized Ahlan Wa Sahlan Festival.
